Dr Kevin Lam is an SCCA Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland. His clinical practice focuses on the early detection, diagnosis and management of melanoma and other skin cancers.
Dr Lam provides comprehensive skin checks and assessment of specific or concerning skin lesions. His services include dermoscopic assessment, skin biopsies, surgical excision and non-surgical treatment where clinically appropriate.
When surgery is required, Dr Lam performs skin cancer excisions with direct closure, local skin flap or skin graft reconstruction. The treatment approach is selected according to the diagnosis, size and location of the lesion, as well as the individual patient’s circumstances. He also provides field treatment for actinic keratoses and sun-damaged skin.
Before studying medicine, Dr Lam completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney and worked as a community pharmacist for six years. He subsequently completed his medical degree at Western Sydney University, gained broad hospital experience across New South Wales and attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Lam takes a thorough, evidence-based and individualised approach to care. He clearly explains examination findings, treatment options and preventive strategies, helping patients make informed decisions about their skin health.
